This Clapper is 9″ x 2.75″ x 1.75″ thick. It is out of Ash. A clapper is used by quilters, tailors or seamstresses to set creases. After a crease has been set with a steam iron, the clapper is laid on top to remove some of the heat and increase the set. This clapper narrows towards the front and has routed indents down the side to allow the user to not make contact with the hot fabric and be able to easily slide it across the creased fold.
